About the Provider

Dr. Tronnes values the opportunity to participate in care of her patients during pregnancy. Her priority is to ensure that her patients and their families have a complete understanding of their pregnancy and treatment options and use the information to make decisions that best fit their individual situation/family. She has a particular interest in maternal cardiac and pulmonary disease, genetic or inheritable disorders, preterm birth, and multiple gestations. Dr. Tronnes has published research on fetal brain development, the effects of inflammation on brain development and optimal timing of preterm labor interventions. 

Dr. Tronnes grew up in Salem, Oregon. She graduated with honors from Willamette University with her bachelor’s degree in biology and Spanish. She received her medical degree from Albany Medical College in New York. She completed her OB/GYN specialty training at OHSU, and her fellowship in maternal-fetal medicine at the University of Washington in Seattle. As a fellow, Dr. Tronnes led teams in the development of obstetric care guidelines for the university health system. She was also an acting OB/GYN instructor responsible for daily medical and surgical education of residents as part of patient care and weekly organized instruction.

Dr. Tronnes and her husband have a daughter. They enjoy hiking, going for walks and swimming, as well as spending time with their extended family now that they are settled back home in the Northwest. Her hobbies also include gardening and painting.
