About the Provider

Following her father’s footsteps and her own carefully crafted life plan, Dr. Bell joined the Army to become a medic after high school and then took an uncommon approach to becoming a doctor—having two children before she completed undergraduate school, then going on to medical school and residency with little ones at home. Her passion for reproductive justice, women’s rights and feminism—combined with her own pregnancy experiences—made her choice of obstetrics and gynecology an easy one. She considers it a privilege to participate in the lives of her patients during some of their best and worst moments and finds making genuine emotional connections with people that go beyond a job description one of the most fulfilling parts of her work. She values the diverse lived experiences of the people she cares for and finds the opportunity to learn and grow every day as a physician through their stories. Dr. Bell is passionate about family planning, including contraception, pregnancy options and obstetric care. She also helps her patients address abnormal uterine bleeding, including post-menopausal bleeding, and she is interested in caring for adolescents, teen pregnancy, LGBTQ+ patients and other historically underserved groups.

Dr. Bell was born, raised and spent the first 34 years of her life in urban Pittsburgh. She feels lucky to have a very supportive spouse and two teenage daughters who agreed to move their lives to Oregon. They enjoy spending time together outdoors with the newest addition to the family – a Cavalier King Charles spaniel.
