About the Provider

Dr. Carlyle’s goal is to help every person she sees navigate their own journey to emotional, mental and physical wellbeing. She is passionate about self-care and helping her patients identify and work through issues that stand between them and optimal health, including past traumas, anxiety, depression, stress or social vulnerability. Her practice includes prenatal care in the Pathways framework, wellness and gynecology. She also spends part of her time at Northwest Perinatal Center caring for moderate risk pregnancies.

In addition to her clinical practice, Dr. Carlyle is also WHA’s Chief Medical Officer. In this role, she led the development of Pathways, WHA’s model of combined group/one-one-one prenatal care. She also leads the organization’s innovative work to implement a comprehensive tool to assess each patient’s mental, emotional, social, behavioral and physical wellbeing, and to put systems in place to assure each person gets the care and resources they need to thrive. She is an advocate for trauma informed care and clinician wellness and participates on Health Share of Oregon’s Council of Clinical Advisors and on the Oregon Perinatal Collaborative steering committee for the Oregon Family Well Being Assessment.

Dr. Carlyle is married with two adult children, two stepchildren and two adorable granddaughters. She has spent her adult life figuring out how to prioritize her own health and what self-care means to her—and today finds family, exercise, supporting others, reading and candy at the top of the list.
