Patricia Robertson, MD, is a board-certified maternal-fetal medicine physician at Northwest Perinatal Center in Portland, Oregon.
From the Provider
“I really enjoy building relationships with my patients. During a complex pregnancy, you see people a lot over a short period of time, and you get to know them really well. While nothing is more rewarding than helping someone through a complicated pregnancy, it can be hard to say goodbye when it’s over!”
About the Provider
Drawn to science from a young age, it wasn’t until Dr. Robertson received care for some personal health issues that she considered medicine. Her doctor’s willingness to admit they didn’t have all the answers has influenced her own approach to sharing uncertainties with her patients alongside recommendations for moving forward. Dr. Robertson appreciates the trust her patients place in her and finds communicating complex health information in a way that people understand very rewarding. She loves obstetric ultrasound and piecing together different parts of a complex medical picture to make the most informed, evidenced-based recommendations she can. She cares for pregnant people with illness or chronic disease, such as hypertension, diabetes and renal disease; as well as pregnancy complications, such as placenta previa, multiple gestations, preterm labor, fetal abnormalities and more.
Dr. Robertson has been active in the areas of antiracism, health equity and the social determinants of health, reproductive justice and broader maternal health issues. She enjoys hiking, running, and weightlifting—and is a soccer player, soccer parent and avid Thorns supporter. She and her husband have two young adult daughters.
